My wife and I are coming to Hermann for the first time over Columbus Day weekend. Is there a fest tent with bands and music? I can’t get a feel for what Oktoberfest is like in Hermann by perusing this site. Not sure if it is centralized or spread out to various locations. I want to park myself with my Lederhosen and a Mass of bier somewhere and let my wife go shopping. Thanks, Mark Salas (veteran of the original Oktoberfest)

    • Hi Mark,
Thanks for contacting us. There is usually a bier tent at Sesquicentennial Park. That is a central location to the downtown for you to have a mug of beer, close enough for the wife to shop at the shops around town, and there are different bands that play each night. Another option you might have is to purchase a Hermann Trolley pass and He will take you to all the different wineries near by.

I hope that helps and if you have any other questions, please let me know.

Here is a link for the 2013 Oktoberfest schedule of events.

      Cheers.
