Festivals are a huge part of Hermann Missouri and its activity. All year long you can enjoy the festivities, wine trails and events that happen in this beautiful town. Many of the festivals you encounter when you visit Hermann Missouri are directly related to the German heritage that made this city so great. Some of the festivals you can enjoy on your visit to Hermann include:
Wurstfest – Many of the local and surrounding sausage makers come to Hermann to show off their skills. This festival is held on the fourth week of March. You can sample many of the different kinds of sausages as well as enjoy the music and dancing. The Weiner Dog Derby has been a regular part of this festival as well.- Shelbyfest – In the late part of 2006, six Shelby owners convened together to show off their new Shelby GT500 Mustangs. After enjoying the get-together so much, they decided to do it again the next year. The rest is history. Over 200 Shelby’s get together in Hermann Missouri for your viewing pleasure. We respectfully ask to not drool on the cars when you visit.
- Maifest – Every year in the third week of May, you can visit downtown Hermann Missouri and see the local vendors with their arts and crafts and also watch as the children adorn the May Pole. View the White House Hotel on your own self-guided tour or listen to Richie and his famous accordion.
- Garden Tours – The Garden club is proud to sponsor this event which attracts gardeners from all over the state. Much of the proceeds go towards creating a more beautiful Hermann.
Bar-B-Que and Brats – If it’s fun and food your looking for, look no further. The Bar-B-Que and Brats festival in Hermann is sure to tempt your taste buds and is the perfect venue for the BBQ lover. Enjoy the tastes and smells in the air as well as the Wine and Beer Tent with live entertainment.- Oktoberfest – Quite considerably the most famous of all the Hermann Missouri events. Oktoberfest is a four-week long endeavor that invites locals and people from all over the nation to celebrate the harvest and indulge in good food and great wine from our local award-winning wineries.
