On May 10th, the Just Call Me Ray organization will host its inaugural 5K and wine tasting event. The Ray Day 5K will be located at the City Park in Hermann Missouri. All ages are welcome and corporate teams are encouraged. The 5K is a “Run, Walk, or Crawl” event. There will be a mile turnaround for those wanting a more leisurely pace. Hermannhof Winery’s ten magnificent stone cellars and charming brick superstructure are among the 100 early Hermann Missouri buildings placed on the National Register of Historic places by the Federal government. Hermannhof Winery – Hermann Chocolate Wine Trail 2014
Down in the wine cellar of Hermannhof, they prepared a delightful serving of Braised Beef Short Ribs with Chocolate and Cinnamon. Visitors to the Hermann Missouri area had both a wonderful setting and small taste of a popular dish with a chocolate twist. Hermannhof Winery paired their savory plate with their famous Norton. The dark wine brought out the dark taste of the chocolate perfectly, especially since the ribs were seared to perfection. Say Cheese Wine Trail 2014 – Star Lane – Three Saints – Hermannhof
Located at the Highway 100 entrance to Hermann Missouri stands the majestic Hermannhof and Star Lane Winery. With the fresh layer of snow, each building was a great retreat from the outside cold. At Star Lane visitors to the Hermann area were greeted with a Fontina, Prosciutto, and Asparagus tart which was paired with Three Saints Chardonnay.
