Almost $15 billion dollars in damage wreaked havoc through many of these states. It has been stated that this flood that devastated Hermann and also all of Missouri is one of the greatest natural disasters to plague our nation. A large number of homes were evacuated as it is estimated that at least 10,000 homes were totally destroyed. Not only that but over 15 million acres of farmland were covered during this time.
