Established in 2005, the Hermann Area Crusade Against Cancer Fund is a fund of The Community Foundation of the Hermann Area, Inc. It is a 501 (c) 3 tax-exempt, non-profit entity under the IRS code, which is conveyed to us as an affiliate of the Community Foundation of the Ozarks. It is organized by local volunteers and governed by a local Board of Directors.
The Crusade Against Cancer operates through the efforts of volunteer committees organized to raise funds that remain in the Hermann area. Our mission focuses on the unmet needs in our community and provides support not covered by insurance or other means directly to cancer patients and their families, such as: Prescription Drugs, Household Expenses and Utilities, Gas Cards, Nutritional and Cosmetic Aids, Other Non-medical Needs.
The Crusade Against Cancer has provided assistance to: 106 families in our community in an amount of $234,000
Diagnostic screening, educational programs and other support services are being planned.
