The River City Cruisers in Hermann Missouri was formed in 1999 and currently has 56 active members, many of which are husband and wife teams. The membership has grown over the last several years and is starting to see more of the younger generation starting to join.
That is our goal in the River City Cruisers – to have fun and at the same time help out the community. We give money for a scholarship to a graduating senior, money for Project Graduation, After Prom Breakfast, Relay for Life, and many other community projects. The River City Cruisers is a not for profit organization and all work is done on a strictly volunteer basis by its members.
It feels good to be able to give, but it also feels good to be able to enjoy your car and to be around people who also enjoy cars. We have made an effort to try to do more with others in our club and to do more for the people around us.
The River City Cruisers is a not for profit organization. Every year, we donate all our profits to local charities, scholarships and other organizations to help make the community of Hermann MO and surrounding areas a better place to live and work. During the first meeting of the year, a list of potential candidates are compiled and voted on by the members of the River City Cruisers. A dollar amount is then assigned and voted on. During the next couple of months, the president of the club goes around and hands the recipients a check for those amounts.
The River City Cruisers also supports a ball team by providing them with jerseys for the team and staff. We take our cars to the local games to show our support for the team for the team. We would like to encourage everyone to come out and enjoy a ball game along with us.
