The opportunity of lifetime just came knocking on our door. This week, Stone Hill Winery, in Hermann Missouri, will host a photo shoot for Michelle Bridal Collection,praised internationally for designing stunning plus size bridal gowns. And my floral arrangements have been requested!
I’ll be creating romantic bouquets for the bride, really a model from New York, to carry as she poses in informal wedding dresses for the camera on location at Stone Hill. It’s the picture perfect setting to capture playful activities such as a trash-the-wedding-dress grape stomp or a romantic stroll through the vineyards.
The photo shot here in Hermann will be seen around the world when Michelle Bridal launches its international marketing campaign for Spring 2015.
Michelle Bridal, based in St. Louis County, also called on Hermann Florist to create the bouquets and floral arrangements when they shoot the formal wedding gowns on location at the historic Coronado Ballroom in St. Louis.
And who better to take such photos than a former photographer for National Geographic?!
I am obviously very excited about the event, but really, this is just the icing on the cake. The real joy is having a floral shop here in Hermann’s community. I love working with local venues and appreciate everyone’s support and creativity. I feel so blessed to live here and do what I love for all of you. I want to give a little shout out to Katie Muenks, as the rep for Intuzuri and Michelle’s Bridal Gown, for setting this whole event up. To Stone Hill for continuing to provide a beautiful setting that people seek after for all occasions. And for local businesses working together to support local businesses. So, say a little prayer for me as I take a deep breath and start preparing some floral arrangements that will be captured-on-film-for-a-national-catalogue. What a wonderful tribute to you. I have always said, you are the best floral designer I know. Each of your creations are unique and “out of the box”. I love doing business with you, because you are so easy to work with and I when I give you a concept or my thoughts — you just run away with it. I am never disappointed. Our church always looks so beautiful with your arrangements. So glad I have you so close. Best wishes and many blessings to you. I will be by to see those pictures of your designs.
