McKittrick Katy Trail Head

OakGlenn Vineyards and Winery
In 1997, OakGlenn Winery in Hermann Missouri was named for the majestic oak tree that marked the driveway in honor of the owner, Glenn. The oak tree died a natural death in 2006. It has been preserved and now proudly displays the hand carved OakGlenn name plate residing at the wine pavilion. OakGlenn Winery – Hermann Chocolate Wine Trail 2014
OakGlenn Winery always seems to offer another reason for visiting their location right outside Hermann Missouri. This year their Chocolate Pudding was topped with whipped cream and candy crumbles. They paired this delight with a River View Red. The views at OakGlenn were spectacular on such a bright February day and the chocolate treat was an added bonus. Many thanks goes to OakGlenn for allowing their visitors to keep the wine glass that housed the pudding. Oktoberfest Homecoming

Pinckney Bend – Hermann Chocolate Wine Trail 2014
Although Pinckney Bend Distillery was not officially on the Hermann Missouri Chocolate Wine Trail, we noticed that they honor wine trail tickets so we took a small detour to the New Haven Arts District. The staff there was so helpful and friendly and even let us enter and sample their spirits before their official opening time. Each of the spirits sampled was excellent quality. They even provided chocolate treats to try with their Rested American Whiskey. They then gave us a great tour of the facility. Overall, we were very pleased with their service and product.
